Napoleon Hill penned the words, and it was a statement he often made, that “every adversity brings with it the seed of an equal advantage.”

Every adversity brings with it the seeds of an equal advantage.

And this is something that we must take into account, because setbacks come in the lives of all of us. The more we reach, the more chances we take, the more setbacks. And by the way, it’s all the way up and down the board, whether it’s in love, war, or business, we’ll always run into mishaps.

So when we do, it’s good to come back to the wisdom that’s there to guide us, the wisdom that we can take back. Sometimes we can think: “Woe is me! They have cut my income by 15%!” or “I can’t find another job!”, and while that’s not good, and it might be hard, and it might be true, there are ways we can always move on and make it work.

We are not refugees, by the way. Our country is not under attack, and we are not going to run away with anything but what we have in a bag by our side. We have opportunities and the possibility to think about so many things that we have to do. It is a good time to draw on our resources, one of those resources being our deepest impulses and desires.

Are we dissatisfied because it’s time for a change? Is the universe telling us it’s time for a change?

Are we having these hiccups, multiple ones that seem to cluster around a particular train of action? Are we getting a cosmic message that it’s time to consider taking another path?

No, the new forms are not the same as the old ones. But every adversity, every setback, every delay, brings with it the seed of an equivalent advantage.
