Learning all of these marketing strategies requires training. A novice internet marketer must decide who to get training from, how much money to invest, what is a realistic training period to learn a skill well enough to use it effectively and generate results. You need a plan for success to avoid jumping from one workout to the next.
  • Determine a monetization plan to put the novice internet marketer on positive cash flow. Without some cash flow, it is difficult to justify building a business that does not generate money to pay for training, domain name costs, hosting accounts, pay per click, etc. Keep in mind that you can build a business with very little cash flow. But face it, how long will you want to do that without a monetary reward? Getting fast cash flow is essential.
  • Not knowing when to keep going or staying focused until you achieve your desired results with a traffic generation method. At first, it is easy to want to learn how to use all the traffic generation methods. This can lead to bouncing off each guru’s training without even taking action. Final result = little or no success.
  • Recognize your strengths and weaknesses and how to best use them. You don’t need to use all the different methods to generate traffic to your website. It’s okay to specialize in a few methods. In fact, some very successful marketers have built successful businesses using only video marketing.

To be successful, you need to find a training program that focuses primarily on value-based attraction marketing. Overall, offering the most value will go a long way toward attracting people to you.

Plus, identifying your unique strengths and learning how to apply those strengths in your marketing will shorten your learning curve.

Identify your target market. One of the biggest mistakes novice internet marketers make is choosing a huge market and trying to talk to too many people. By doing this, they do not speak to anyone. Determine how skillfully you want to leverage your marketing. Don’t have one yet? Focus on one area that is fun for you and train a little and then do it. Everybody starts somewhere.
