The LGKP500 Cookie is a handy little device measuring 106.5mm x 55.4mm x 11.9mm and weighing just 89g. With a huge 3” touch screen, its screen is capable of displaying 2,56,000 colors and has a WQVGA resolution of 240×400 pixels. It’s also quite bright, allowing for decent readability in sunny conditions. As for the physical appearance, there are only three square buttons with chrome edges. The buttons consist of the ‘Call/Send’ button, the favorite/running applications button and the ‘End’ button. At the rear, there is a 3.0 megapixel camera lens with no flash.

Overall, the LG Cookie is a decent looking device with simplicity.

Special mention to the battery part, the 900 mAh battery of the LG KP500 Cookie which has a lifespan of about 350 hours in standby mode and 3.5 hours in talk time mode. Their contact system is very simple and easy to use. Multiple phone numbers and email addresses can be saved, as well as many other information such as home address, birthday, and a note. The phone book capacity offered by the LG KP500 Cookie Silver is up to 1000 contacts.

Moving on to the camera part, LG KP500 Cookie Silver is incorporated with 3 megapixel camera. However, the camera quality is good, but it lacks autofocus and flash. Under suitable lighting conditions, the camera gives good results with quite nice photos. There is a bit of noise in the darker areas though, but photos generally look sharp and coloured. Video is recorded in QVGA resolution (320×240 pixels) and encoded as a 3gp file. Therefore, the image quality is not up to par.

For music lovers, Cookie is equipped with an MP3 player with playlist creation and album art support. The player has a nice library feature, allowing you to browse music by track, artist, album, or genre. Sound quality is good, but there’s no standard 3.55mm headphone jack on the cracker.

The LG KP500 Cookie Silver comes with some personal information management applications like an organizer, alarms, voice recorder, drawing pad for writing notes and doodles, calculator, converter, notes, to-do list, world clock, and stopwatch. The phone has a small internal memory of 48 MB with the possibility of expanding up to 16 GB through a Micro SD card.

As for connectivity, it has support for quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE and other connectivity options include Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP and USBv2.0. Overall, the LG KP500 Cookie silver is a great device for those who want the allure of an iPhone at a fraction of the cost.
