If you can fight for it, then you can have it. Another indefatigable spiritual fighter that we saw in the Bible is the prophet Elijah. The fire prophet! After the battle of Mount Carmel, Elijah quickly informed King Ahab that God would bring rain again to the land of Israel, after another three years of drought. The man of God immediately set off to the top of Mount Carmel to pray for rain. But after so many attempts it still didn’t rain. But he persisted until the seventh time and the rain came. By the way, he went to the top of Mount Camel to ‘wrestle’ with God to release the rain to the people from him. Let’s read from 1 Kings 18:41-45: “Then Elijah said to Ahab, ‘Go and have a good meal! For I hear a great storm coming!’ So Ahab prepared a feast. But Elijah went up to the top of Mount Camel, fell on his face, and prayed. Then he said to his servant, “Go and look toward the sea.” The servant went and looked, but he returned to Elijah and said : ‘I did not see anything.’ Seven times Elijah told him to go look, and seven times he went. Finally, the seventh time, his servant said to him: ‘I saw a small cloud about the size of a hand rising out of the sea.’ Then Elijah shouted, “Hurry up to Ahab and tell him, get in your car and go home. If you don’t hurry up, the rain will stop you!” And sure enough, the sky soon turned dark with clouds. A strong wind brought a terrible rain storm “OMG! Power man! You must be ready to fight for the promises and the word of God for your life and for your people. Real. Get up and fight now!

There are few things I would like us to learn from Elijah here. First, he was fully aware of the timing of God’s promise: the rain. Second, he went to the mountain to pray when others were celebrating. Third, he had the promise of God, but he also knew that he had to ‘struggle’ to be born into the physical. Fourth, he refused to give up until the rain came. Fifth, he quickly recognized the answer, even when it was like a small, insignificant sign. He believed in God and stayed until the little ones became mighty. And today I also see that your little one becomes greatness! This must be the attitude of anyone who wants to successfully ‘fight’ for God’s blessings. There were also other people who ‘wrestled’ with God in prayer that space would not allow us to look here. These include: Daniel, Elisha, Jesus, Paul, and many others. They at various times fought in the spirit, fought in prayers to give birth to the will of God in the physical. You can read this and more from my book/audiobook The Power of Midnight Prayer. Then another thing I would like to add here is that repetition of prayers is allowed in this level of spiritual warfare, especially when done in the midnight battle. I often hear people say that repetition of prayer (or prayer points) means lack of faith, but that is not true. In wrestling with God (as in other high-level forms of prayer), the repetition of requests can sometimes determine the level of attention you receive. By this I do not mean the recitation of doctrines, dogmas, catechism, religious and denominational beliefs. Do not! I’m talking about real prayer and groaning in the spirit. You must continue to pray until you receive answers to your requests. This must be the philosophy of the person who wants to obtain the maximum result from his encounter with God.

Let’s see the biblical opinion on this. Jesus in Gethsemane, before his arrest, went into the olive grove at night to pray and prepare for the ultimate price of going to the cross. There, the burden was so heavy on Him that He prayed the same prayer several times, the same night. Look at Matthew 26:44, “Then he prayed a third time, saying the same things again.” Did you see that? He had prayed before. He went back and prayed on the same subject. And he pray again for the third time on the same subject. And what was the point of prayer? “My father! If possible, let this chalice of suffering be removed from me. But I want your will, not mine.” Sure, this can’t be because he didn’t have faith, but the burden and reality of his mission weighed heavily on him, so he decided to constantly keep in touch with heaven to check minute by minute. As I have said, the real battle was fought and won here in Gethsemane and it was at midnight. See also when he healed the blind man in Mark 8:22-25. He repeated the exercise before the man fully recovered his sight. Can we read it? “When they arrived at Bethsaida, some people brought a blind man to Jesus, and begged him to touch and heal the man. Jesus took the blind man by the hand and led him out of town. Then, spitting in the man’s eyes, he put hands on him and asked: ‘can you see anything now?’ The man looked around him. ‘Yes,’ he said, ‘I see people, but I can’t see them very clearly. They look like trees walking.’ Then Jesus placed his hands over the man’s eyes again. As the man stared, his sight was completely restored and he could see everything clearly.” Now, if Jesus could do it over and over again, I think we can’t be greater than our teacher (as he said he was). Let us always continue until we receive the desired result. Do it over and over and over again. Pray, fight, fight until you get it!

Also when teaching the principle of effective prayer, he encouraged us to keep asking, seeking and knocking until we receive what we pray for. “Keep on asking, and what you ask for will be given. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened. For whoever asks, receives. Whoever seeks, finds. And the door is open to everyone.” who calls”. Matthew 7:7-8. Did you notice that continuous verbs were used in the above passage? This simply means that he should keep doing it until he sees the desired result. It is a divine principle. Even the dark realm also understands this. That is why they hardly ever give up on their goals. We have previously cited the example of Elijah on Mount Carmel. He kept repeating the prayers, until the rain came on the seventh try. In fact, he was prepared to go even further than the seventh if necessary; because he was sure that he had heard the sound of abundant rain in the spirit. So don’t be afraid to repeat his sentences on the same subject. He will not be discouraged if he has not seen the physical manifestation of the answer. Just press until it happens! He shares this post with others. God bless!
