Now Jesus was alone, and in the desert that night.

He hadn’t eaten in days and was fasting in the sight of God.

He was praying to his father, the king and Lord of all,

And in the middle of his prayer, he heard a low call.

In front of the path of Jesus, there was a humble being,

But Jesus was prepared, he knew what he was seeing.

Now Satin smirked and this is what he said:

“If you are a child of God, turn those rocks into bread.”

This tempted Jesus, oh how good that bread would taste.

But Jesus did not sin, and he did not act in haste.

Jesus was the son of God, and Satin should have known it,

This trick would not work, man cannot live on bread alone.

Satin did not give up, he took Jesus to some high place.

That place was a mountain, which traveled towards the sky.

Approaching the top, they looked down to earth,

Satin tried one more time, but he just didn’t understand.

“You can have all of this, if you just love me.”

His smile turned into a grimace, full of mocking joy.

But Jesus already recognized this, and we should only worship one,

Satin was not that, he was God and his son.

You will only worship God, to Satin he replied,

Satin, he was angry, but once again he tried.

He took him to the temple, to a pinnacle so high,

“If your angels are there, jump to heaven.”

“You shall not tempt the Lord your God.”

Jesus answered back.

Satin stomped away, and victory was lacking.

When temptations present themselves, you know what to do.
Just cry out to the Lord, and he will strengthen you.
