But aside from Stingray City, there are a number of Grand Cayman snorkeling sites worth checking out. Eden Rock, which is south of George Town, abounds with yellowtails and sergeant majors. Seeing scuba divers surrounded by clouds of these fish has become the trademark of this site.

Other places of interest

Eden Rock is also popular for its stairs, cuts in its iron coast, which allows the diver easy access to the water. If you explore the area at this site, you will find huge coral heads, connected by caves and tunnels. Diving further south, you will find the Devil’s Grotto. This is an extension of Eden Rock. Parrot’s Reef, Sunset Reef and Seaview Reef are other beautiful spots just around the corner.

When snorkeling in Grand Cayman, be sure to visit the Calie Wreck, the Gamma Wreck, and the Geneva-Kathleen Wreck. These sites promise underwater views like no other. These are beautiful dive and snorkel sites, but are not recommended for beginners.

There are several sunken ships in the depths. You’ll see the wreck of the Calie, a 220-foot four-captain schooner encrusted with coral and sponges.
