Going out to eat regularly takes away a part of the monthly budget. However, after a long day at the office, the thought of going home and cooking dinner is simply too exhausting to think about.

The crockpot is a kitchen appliance that has been around for several years. Around 1970, the Rival Company® purchased a company called Naxon, which was responsible for the invention of the “Beanery Multi-Purpose Cooker”.

In 1971, Rival® reintroduced the cooker under the name “Crock-Pot”. It was not until 1974 that the update was made that provided removable and easier to wash stoneware cooking inserts. Although “crock-pot” is a brand name Rival® gives to the appliance, it is a term commonly used today to describe any brand of this useful kitchen helper.

Electric pots are ideal for soups, meats, main dishes, vegetables, sauces, side dishes and even desserts. These kitchen wonders cook on low power and very slowly, making them inexpensive to use.

Here’s a quick and easy dish for those busy workers who need a delicious dinner but don’t want to spend hours in the kitchen.
