There are a number of good places in Korat where you can enjoy some cold Singha beers or grab a bite to eat with other expats. Some special events are also hosted at these watering holes and these include weekly quiz nights, darts tournaments and football nights.

The RAM
The newest place in the city is The Ram, which is located next to the Sabai hotel. This British pub offers drinks at very affordable prices and also offers a great selection of pub food. A quiz is organized every Wednesday night and many local expats attend this event. There’s also a proper pool table, big-screen TVs, and darts area at this bar in Nakhon Ratchasima.
George and Dragon
One of the more established expat hangouts is George and Dragon, located on a side street off the central square. It also offers decent English pub style food including fish and chips. If you fancy a game of pool, note that there is also a good pool table at the George and Dragon.
Sports and Cocktails
The Sports and Cocktail bar is a long time favorite Korat bar amongst the local expat community and was founded by Paul and his lovely wife. It was recently sold to Jason and I can’t wait to see what he will do with this watering hole. There are a number of TVs showing various live sports and there is also a pool table. There is also a basic but good food menu and an excellent selection of local and foreign drinks.
Pizza shop
This place is more of a restaurant, however many locals visit the pizzeria as they can enjoy some nice drinks on the outside terrace. It is located in the center of town and is within walking distance of the George and Dragon pub. The pizzeria has the best food menu of all the bars in Korat and includes excellent pizzas, Swedish meatballs and a wide variety of Thai dishes.
