Having and maintaining good and high moral standards is a must for anyone who wants to experience God’s best in life. And yet it is sadly lacking all over the world. It seems as if many do not understand the power of living a life of integrity and solidity. It is imperative that we focus our attention on principles that are correct, constructive, and ethical, so that we can influence the next generation to do the same. Living a life lacking in moral fiber is really living below our true essence and potential, because we were created for a purpose greater than mere existence.

Our apparent lack of self-control is the cause of much of the pain, misery, and destruction in the world today. And temperance is needed to live morally healthy, even more so at this particular time. While many hold the idea that everyone should live as they want, do what they want, when they want, and be motivated by their feelings, when you weigh the consequences of such an idea, you will realize that this type of thinking is the cause. much decay and trouble in the world.

When we talk about developing and maintaining good morals, we are describing a lifestyle of doing the right thing, doing it because it’s right, and doing it well.

For example, a morally healthy person refuses to steal, because it is wrong and it harms others. A person of high moral integrity would not lie, because lying is destructive and harms others. An individual who intends to live according to pious morality will not have sexual relations before marriage, because he is wrong and goes against the principles that God has established.

With regard to developing and maintaining a good, healthy and godly morality, we are not talking about depriving ourselves of all fun, but rather that we each learn to evaluate the pros and cons of our decisions, and strive to make decisions based on them. the perspective of responsibility first and then pleasure. This balances life.

What is good, healthy and godly morality? Different people have different views on this issue. Some are right and proper, and again, some must be rejected and discarded because the ingredient of truth, which is the basis of real morality, is missing.

When it comes to having good morals, here are some facts to consider:

1. Responsibility must always govern our choices and modes of pleasure.
Pleasure without a sense of good judgment will prove fatal to the person who wishes to maximize their purpose and potential on earth. You will never reach the pinnacle of true success without having a moral foundation to stand on.

2. Realize that being a moral person will set you apart.
It is true that many may consider you weird, strange and even something of a nerd. But making sure you maintain your integrity and hold yourself to a high moral standard will pave the way for you to experience life as God intended from the beginning. Being an honest person may not be popular, but it will mark you as someone who can be trusted for your honesty.

3. Remember that pleasure delayed is not pleasure denied.
If you are determined to maintain sexual purity until marriage, you are not missing out on the fun of life. You are simply delaying a gratification until the right time. And when the time is right, you will have that pleasure. But you will experience it at the time God ordained for you, in marriage, instead of doing it because it seems popular. Listen carefully: Popular isn’t always right. Put right over popularity and then being popular will have its own place.

4. If you break your moral code to gain a place of power or prominence, you will find that it may be short-lived and you will catch up with it at some point in the future.
It is a proven fact that there is a law in the universe called, sow and reap. This not only refers to sowing and reaping money, but to all areas of life. We receive based on what we give. If we steal, lie, and cheat our way to the top, it will catch up with us, and when it does, the suffering we will have to endure will be costly.

5. Don’t break your code of morality for friendships.
If you decide to be a person of high integrity and good morals, don’t let your friends make you change your mind. Friends can come and friends can go. But godly character is forever and will attract the right friends your way. If someone refuses to be your friend because you choose to do the right thing, because it’s right, then that person may not be your friend at all.

6. Good and golden morality is based on the truth as stated in the Holy Word of God, the BIBLE. It is simply learning to live life by the standard that Almighty God set for us to live. So, by upholding his principles for living, we are pleasing him and that in itself is worth it. When we please God, we attract his favor into our lives.

7. Make decisions based on what you know is right, not how you feel. Feelings change all the time. What is right never changes. The truth is constant.

8. Be a person with purpose.
Learn to think things through and plan your life. Set goals and stick to them. Make sure those goals don’t violate any laws of God or man. Modify your goals as necessary, but make the essence of them concrete, based on the truth of God’s Word and what you know in your heart is right. Feelings aren’t always based on truth, so like I said before, they can’t always be trusted.

9. Having and maintaining high moral standards will allow you to hold your head high, even when others cannot. Shame is the result of doing bad, ungodly, and unhealthy things. When you do the right thing, you can be sure that God is pleased with you. So never let anyone make you feel bad for having high ethics and good moral character.

10. Don’t pretend. Be real. If you’re going to maintain good morals in public, make sure you practice the same in private. Nobody likes a hypocrite. So keep your integrity, no matter if someone is watching or not. If you say one thing in public but behave differently in private, be careful that it doesn’t become public knowledge. Because as I said before, sowing and reaping is a law. Everything you plant will grow and produce a harvest.

In conclusion, God gave you life and wants you to live it for His glory. So be careful to read his Word, the BIBLE, and practice developing and maintaining good morals every day. you will be glad you did.
