So you want to learn how to build paintball bunkers and you want to learn now. Here are a couple of great ways you can build homemade paintball bunkers for your field.

Unless you have a couple thousand dollars to spare for an entire inflatable airball field, you’ll likely be forced to find other means to get your field up and running. These means mostly consist of wasting materials from friends, or using whatever junk is in your shed or available around town.

reels – Reels are generally used to transport long lengths of cable and other industrial cables and the like. You can find a spool or two at a local hardware store, in most cases in the back. Many times you can get them for free, especially if the hardware store doesn’t need them.

palettes – Wooden pallets, plastic pallets, they all work. They can also be found at a local hardware store. They are used to transport skids of materials and products, and are much easier to find for free. Most stores have one or two batteries in the back of the store, which sit for months before finding any use for them. Since they are never in short supply of these, you can be sure they will gladly give you a truckload or two.

carpet rolls – This is a rather unconventional idea. But, if you have rolls of carpet that will never be used, why not put them to good use on your paintball field? You’d be surprised how many people throw away rolls of carpet after putting in a new one. As long as you have wood that can be used for a frame, then you’re good to go. Just make a frame and wrap a rug around it and you have a three-dimensional bunker.
