If you like to make frozen desserts for your family, I think you will enjoy this easy recipe to make Ambrosia Cream Squares.

This recipe is made in a 4 layer technique. Read the full list of necessary ingredients before starting the recipe. Once it’s complete, you’ll need to place it in the freezer for 2-4 hours before serving. If you like, you can decorate the top with some pineapple slices or fresh cherries.

Layer 1 Ingredients:

1/2 cup butter, softened

2 tablespoons brown sugar

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon salt

In a large bowl, mix the above ingredients in the order they are given. Press batter into bottom of 8 x 8 “square baking pan that has been lightly sprayed with nonstick cooking spray. Bake in 350 degree oven for 10 to 12 minutes, remove and cool.

Layer 2 Ingredients:

1/2 cup butter, melted

1 egg, well beaten

3 cups powdered sugar

Melt the butter in the microwave or in a small saucepan. In a medium bowl, combine melted butter, beaten egg, and confectioner’s sugar until creamy. Spread this mixture over the first cooled layer in the baking dish.

Layer 3 Ingredient:

1 can (20 oz.) Pineapple, crushed

Drain all the juice from the pineapples. Spread the crushed pineapples over the second layer of ingredients in the baking dish.

Layer 4 Ingredients:

1 packet of Dream Whip

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 tablespoons powdered sugar

In a small bowl, whisk together the dream smoothie packet, vanilla extract, and icing sugar until creamy and smooth. Lightly spread this mixture over the third layer in the baking dish.

Cover the plate and place it in the freezer. Once the dessert is firm, remove from the freezer and let it rest at room temperature for 5 minutes. Dice before serving.
