I was unexpectedly and pleasantly surprised by the attractive attractions of China. For me, seeing The Great Wall of China was like seeing a colossal dragon. I found it to be a very attractive attraction simply because of its architectural opulence and historical significance. My hotel staff advised me to view the wall in a somewhat natural state from Simatai, which is 110 km northeast of Beijing. On my visit to the Forbidden City, I learned that the Palace Museum is the largest palace complex in the world, covering 74 hectares. I just couldn’t believe that it houses 9999 buildings.

I was spellbound by the tourist attractions in China that have splendid painted decoration in the grand and luxurious halls of the royal architectural wonders. On a tour of the amazing Yangtze, I witnessed the picturesque natural scenery and also experienced an ancient cultural heritage that had a touch of humanity and beauty. I quite liked the Dragon Pavilion (Long Ting), which is a royal hall located in the northwest of Kaifeng City. It derives its name from two dragons playing with a pearl that are carved on a plaque on the pavilion. I was amazed that it had been built on a thirty-foot-high marble terrace.
