Atomstack Camera

The Atomstack camera provides a view of the work area while engraving which makes it easy to observe the process and improve safety. The camera works with a variety of gantry lasers including iKier, COMGO, D1, D1 Pro, Ortur, Sculpfun, NEJE and xTool frame machines. It is compatible with both PC and Mac systems running Lightburn software.

A 5MP camera is built in to the camera for laser engraver with a wide-angle lens that can capture a large field of view. It is able to take a picture every 0.5 second, which allows you to track the progress of your project without having to watch the laser at all times. This feature can also be used to take a video of the laser engraving to share with others or as an educational tool.

It can be paired with the Gweike offline software or Atomstack’s own Lightburn laser software to control your machine. Both of these programs are free and available for Windows, Linux and macOS. Lightburn is a more robust option that is easier to use and includes a material settings library for each nozzle. It also supports a wider range of materials than LaserGRBL, which is only available as a standalone download.

Atomstack Camera For Laser Engraver

When you purchase an Atomstack engraver you will receive a number of accessories to get you started. This includes a material pack with laser plywood, acrylic and corrugated card as well as an extractor fan. You will also receive a tool kit with lens cleaning cotton swabs, allen key set and a laser alignment target to assist with routine maintenance. A pair of goggles are also included to protect your eyes from the laser beam.

The atomstack comes with a fixed focus diode that is claimed to have a 40W Co2 laser equivalent power. This is much higher than the power of other similar engravers on the market. The atomstack also claims that it has a square laser spot shape which will allow for better focusing than adjustable focus models.

A 3.5” touch screen is mounted on top of the machine to act as an interface between you and your engraver. This is an improvement on older versions of the atomstack that had a smaller, less responsive display that could be difficult to see in direct sunlight. This improved touchscreen has an intuitive interface with an onscreen tutorial that guides you through each of the features.

The atomstack is designed to be as easy to operate as possible, with built in limit switches on both the x and y axis. This will help to prevent collisions during operation. This is a great safety feature that will save you time and headaches when setting up your engraver. It is important to remember that this is a powerful laser and you should always use it with the utmost of caution and never leave it unattended. Taking the extra steps to ensure that your machine is operating safely will make your experience more enjoyable and will help you achieve the results you are looking for.
