A truck bed liner may be more than an option if you want your truck to keep looking good for a long time. You will see that almost any type of transportation causes scratches and scuffs on a truck bed. Maybe your truck is already damaged and it’s time to do something about it. Left unchecked, bed damage is the place for rust and corrosion to start and that’s a route to the early end of your truck’s good looks. Here are a couple of options.

A spray-on truck bed liner

A professional spray eyeliner can do the trick. A distributor sprays a two-part material that contains a rubbery texture. This is a tough coat of paint that is often about 1/4 inch thick. You get a guarantee to have any damage to your bed liner repaired, so you know the job will be done right. These liners not only protect, they also look good doing it. The only real downside to a professional truck bed liner is the cost. It’s pretty steep, but there is an alternative coating.

A roller bed liner

You can apply a coating yourself with truck bed paint. The liner you can apply is easy to do and looks almost like a professional eyeliner. It won’t be as thick, nor as durable. But it will certainly improve the appearance of an older truck and may be just fine for the way you use your truck. Plus, you can save hundreds of dollars compared to the cost of a professional coating. My two sons installed a liner using a box liner kit on our old truck and it still looks good after a year of heavy use.

A truck bed liner is a great way to protect your truck bed while making it look finished. Choose the premium professional version or do it yourself with truck bed paint. In either case, your truck will look better and maybe even last longer.
