Jane; A college student, she has long been admired for her beauty since early childhood. But like everyone else, we encounter problems on a day-to-day basis, but now it is Jane who has to face this new problem … “Acne”! She wisely chose not to go for medical medications, because she knew they were full of harmful chemicals that would ruin her face even more. So what can she do?

Now this story above could be exactly what happened to you, or at least something similar. In such a situation, you will need to have a clear head, especially in the early stages. An ancient remedy can be used to stop acne. This treatment is “Steam Face”. That is the most harmless thing you can do to your skin to remove pimples. When done correctly and with the right ingredients, it can surely clear up acne.

The positive effect of facial steaming never ceases to amaze me. Your skin will feel fresh and look radiant. You can also do this just before an event to “wake up” your skin.

Now there are some precautionary steps you need to take when it comes to steaming your face. First of all, although this method of opening the pores is completely safe, you should only do it once or twice a week, so that your skin does not become too dehydrated. When the skin dries, your body reacts in defense of the skin, so it produces even more oil, and that is the opposite of what you want.

Dust and dirt are also removed when you steam your face, which is also a hygienic benefit. And as you steam, your sweat (which contains sodium) will kill acne-causing bacteria. Yes! So you don’t have to worry about a little sweat, it’s actually good for your skin.

People who have asthma may have difficulty with this technique, as it requires closing the eyes and nose, and the use of herbs that will be mentioned below. Remember to wash your face before and after with warm water, then finish with cold water, to close the pores when they are clean.

Steaming can be customized to suit anyone’s needs. Of course, you can steam your face with just water, but for a better result you can add special herbs to give your skin that extra “glow”.

Turmeric is a great herb to add to your steamer because it rejuvenates your skin. Even the use of Holy Basil (Tulsi) and Azardirachta Indica (Neem) can work effectively on pimples and could even prevent them from reappearing. For oily skin, you should probably add peppermint, thyme, and lavender. And for those who have a more delicate (dry) skin surface, you can add the above ingredients to the following: chamomile, fennel seeds, and roses.

Now for those of you who are reading this and are not familiar with facial steaming, I will tell you an easy way to do it at home. All you need is a kettle, a pot (preferably the size of your face), a large towel, a timer, and of course … water. To get started (you should wash your face by now), set the timer for 10 minutes and boil some water in the kettle. Once it is boiled, stop the water in the pot. Next, place the towel over your head and make sure it’s big enough to hang down the sides and front. Then move your face over the steaming pot and turn on the timer. Try to hold your breath for 30 seconds. And when you come to take a breath; take as long as you need to hold another breath for 30 seconds. After the 10 minutes are up, pad your face with the towel and go wash your face again. And that is!

Facial steaming is a great way to deeply cleanse your pores, and I’m sure you won’t regret making it part of your weekly routine.
