Sometimes the problem with managing ongoing fatigue is that we dial in fatigue too much and don’t look at the big picture. Let’s take a look at some of the reasons why you may be suffering from burnout and what can be done to help. 1. Stress. Perhaps the main reason for tiredness, apart from lack of sleep, is a high level of stress. If you have hypothyroidism, this will make you tired and stressed. Usually, if you see your doctor complaining of fatigue, he or she will check your thyroid. However, if your doctor doesn’t suggest this, be sure to ask to have your thyroid levels checked.

3. Too much exercise. Are you someone excited about your training program? Despite feeling tired, he pushes himself daily because he knows it’s “good for you.”

Your training could be causing your extreme tiredness. It’s easy to overlook this because exercise gives you energy and even in your exhausted state, you can feel better after a workout. This is the endorphins, though: once they’re gone, you’ll be left more tired.

Rest days are crucial in any training program. If you’re not taking enough rest days, fatigue will be the price you pay. Take a good look at your plan and make sure rest days are scheduled.

4. Lack of B vitamins. Finally, also consider the B vitamins. The B vitamins are essential in helping to convert the food you eat into usable energy, so you don’t want to run out of them. B vitamins are water soluble, which means you must take them daily; otherwise, they will be excreted from your body, leaving your levels low and ineffective.

If you’re not eating a varied diet that’s all about fresh produce and meat, then consider a vitamin C complex supplement. It can make a difference in how you feel.
