How to lose weight

In a recent post, Deb, a reader of the God, Diet, Fitness and Weight Loss blog, said her doctor advised her that a good place to start to lose some needed pounds and improve your health is to avoid the 3 S’s. That’s a big advice if you need to lose weight, improve your health and live a long and active life. All the 3 S’s help you gain weight while wreaking havoc on your immune system, making you more susceptible to numerous diseases, including heart disease, cancer, and diabetes (the 3 deadliest diseases).

Our body needs salt. The problem is that we eat too much salt. The recommended intake of salt is between 500 and 2,400 milligrams. Optimally we should consume between 1,500 and 2,000 milligrams daily. Unfortunately, most Americans consume 5 times the amount needed. This excess sodium causes heart problems, high blood pressure, calcium loss, increased chances of certain cancers, kidney failure, and a long list of other health problems, not to mention weight gain and even obesity. Being obese and overweight itself adds another long list of potential health problems. Therefore, if you avoid excessive sodium intake, you will improve your health and reduce the risks of being overweight. Keep in mind that cutting back on excess sodium only reduces your risk of becoming overweight, it doesn’t burn fat after you’ve already gained too much weight. You must exercise and build muscle to burn fat.

Not just table sugar, but all forms of processed and substitute sugars are bad for you. Like salt, sugar is necessary for our bodies to function properly. Not simple processed sugars, but complex carbohydrates that our bodies convert into the energy needed to do anything. Our consumption of sugar or substitutes is much worse than our intake of salt. Sugar is in all processed foods. The number one additive in all processed foods, sugar is also the most addictive drug we can take. You’re craving something sweet, right? This is not because it is good for you or for you. It is because your body craves sugar like a drug or alcohol. This addiction causes cancer, diabetes, heart disease, obesity and more deadly diseases. So to be healthy, just limit the sugar you eat. Sugar is the number one cause of death from eating. This slowly deteriorates your body down to a cellular level, while suppressing your immune system and adding unusable fat. Obesity kills. Limit all forms of sugar and lose weight while improving your health. Don’t forget to exercise.

avoid seconds

This is simple. Don’t overeat. Large portions only add excesses that become indigestible and cause overweight. You don’t lose weight simply by eating less. This is breaking news for many people. But you stop winning by eating less. You will also infinitely improve your health. It’s one thing, inevitably, that you’ll consume less salt and sugar by avoiding the latter. Healthy weight loss includes eating healthy and exercising regularly. One key to eating right is to avoid the 3 S’s. Thanks Deb.
